[Kousen Syouton] 1633-1695 Ming (China) monk.
Born on October 8, 6th year of Chongjing. He inherits the teachings of Huimen Nyopei of Mount Obaku. In 1661, he came to Japan at the invitation of Ingen Ryuuki. He opened Bukkokuji Temple in Yamashiro (Kyoto Prefecture) and later became the chief priest of Manpukuji Temple in Uji, Yamashiro. He is said to be the founder of the restoration of the Obaku sect. Died on October 16th, 16th Genroku. he is 63 years old. Originally from Fujian. His legal name is Hajime Ryowei. Regardless of his gender. His other names are Ungai and Danka Dojin. His posthumous name is Daien Guanghui Kokushi, Buddhist Josho Kokushi. His writings include ``Fuso Zenrin Sohoden'' and ``Togoku Kosoden''.
