It depicts a statue of Fugen Bodhisattva and the ten rakshasa women of the heavenly good gods who protect the Lotus Sutra as his followers.
The Ten Rasetsunyo are said to be one of the 10 female demons that appear in the Lotus Sutra Dharani.
This iconography is derived from the fact that in the Lotus Sutra, Fugen Bodhisattva and Ten Rakshasa both vow to ``protect those who uphold the Lotus Sutra.''
