1863-1934 Calligrapher from the Meiji to early Showa eras. Born September 28, 1863. Studied under Kusakabe Meikaku and travelled to Qing (China) to study, where he became acquainted with Yang Shujing and others. He opened a school in Kyoto and served as an advisor to the Taito Calligraphy Institute and other schools. Died January 24, 1934, at the age of 72. Born in Mino (Gifu prefecture). His given name was Yusada. He was commonly known as Uhyoe. His other pen name was Rouhou. His works include "Kyozan Gakuko."
