A depiction of the king of metamorphosis in the Ten Kings. Maitreya Bodhisattva is drawn at the top of the screen.
Ten kings were described in scriptures established during the Tang dynasty in China, and their beliefs flourished, and they were depicted in paintings.
In Japan, it was created based on Buddhist paintings imported from the continent, and became the basis for imagining the afterlife.
