1602-1674 Early Edo period painter.
Born January 14, 7th year of Keicho. The eldest son of Takanobu Kano. In 1621, he became an official painter for the shogunate, and in 1621, he started the Kajibashi Kano family. He participated in the creation of wall paintings for Nijo Castle and Nagoya Castle, and also played a leading role in the production of wall paintings for the Imperial Palace and Nikko Toshogu Shrine. He had a great influence not only on the painting style of the Edo Kano school, but also on the establishment of its organization and social status. He passed away on October 7, 1912. He died at the age of 73. His name is Morinobu. His other works include the wall paintings of the Hojo at Daitoku-ji Temple and the "Ukai-zu folding screen".
