A priest of the Rinzai sect during the Sengoku period. Also known as Kensai. Born as the third child of Munenobu Inoue, a retainer of the Hosokawa clan, he became a disciple of Shino Toan Rokuonji and received a shaving ordinance at Tenryu-ji Temple. In 1537, at the invitation of Yoshitaka Ouchi, he went to Suo Province (Yamaguchi Prefecture) and became the deputy envoy of the Ming ship under the command of Shoshi Koshinryo. In 1988, he left Hakata, went to Ming, and returned to Japan in 1910. In the same year, he returned to Japan as a regular envoy and returned to Japan in the same year. After returning to Japan, he lived in seclusion at Myochi-in Temple, but temporarily went to Kai Province (Yamanashi Prefecture) at the request of Shingen TAKEDA. His book "Sakuhiko Nimitsu" is a valuable record for understanding not only the diplomacy of the time but also the customs and culture of the Ming Dynasty.
