1539-1602: Military commander of the Sengoku-Oda-Toyotomi period. Born in 1558. During the Honnoji Incident, he fled to Kiyosu, Owari, with Oda Nobutada entrusting him with Sanboshi (Oda Hidenobu). He served as Kyoto magistrate, lord of Tanba Kameyama Castle (Kyoto Prefecture), and one of the five magistrates of the Toyotomi clan. He sided with the Western Army in the Battle of Sekigahara, but after the war, Tokugawa Ieyasu confirmed his territory. He studied the tea ceremony under Sen no Rikyu. He died on May 7, 1604, aged 64. He was from Mino (Gifu Prefecture). His pen names were Hanmusai, Minister of Civil Affairs, and Tokuzenin.
