Collection from Kuroda Shindō
[Fujiku] 1707-1781. A monk in the mid-Edo period. Born August 15, 4th year of the Hoei era. Jodo sect. Son of Hidehiro of Genryuji Temple of the Otani-ha Shinshu sect in Ise (Mie prefecture). Became a disciple of Genmon of the Seizan-ha Jodo sect in Fukakusa, Kyoto. He was knowledgeable in all aspects of Buddhist studies, and was praised as highly as Hotan in the field of Kegon studies. He served as the head priest of Moriyama Jodo-ji Temple in Omi (Shiga prefecture), Choji-in Temple in Kyoto, and Chosen-in Temple in Edo. He passed away on October 14th, 1st year of the Tenmei era, at the age of 75. His pen name was Tokumon. His works include "Tendai Sandaibu Fukushinsho."
