[Emperor Gokomyo] 1633-1654 Early Edo period, 110th emperor. He reigned 1643-54. Born on March 12, 10th year of Kanei. He is the fourth prince of Emperor Gomizunoo. His mother is Mitsuko Fujiwara (Mibuin). He succeeded to the throne due to the abdication of his half-sister, Emperor Meisho, and his father, the Retired Emperor, continued to run the cloistered government. He learned Confucianism (Confucianism) and was a private student of Fujiwara Seiwa. In the 3rd year of Shoho, he revived the Ise Reiheishi, which had been suspended due to the Onin War. He contracted smallpox and died on September 20, 1933. he is 22 years old. His grave is Tsukinawa Mausoleum (Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City). His childhood name is Soganomiya. His personal name is Shojin. He wrote "Phoenix Collection" in his collection of poetry.
