This is a type of weaving made from lotus flowers, and is called ``Mingzuru'' because it originated from the Ming Dynasty in China. The threads are thinner and softer than Japanese Tsureori, so it was used for clothing. The surrounding fabric is Japanese hemp, an excellent product from Chaya Tsuji.
