This letter was addressed from Kikkawa Motoharu to his second son, Motomune (later Motouji). In 1581, Motoharu's third son, Tsunetoge (later Hiroie), rebelled against his parents and even considered running away from home. Motoharu, along with his eldest son, Motonaga, and second son, Motomune, dealt with the situation. With the consent of Mori Terumoto, the matter was resolved, and this document shows the exchange that took place.
