This is a fragment of the Jujukyo Sutra written on dabi paper made from finely crushed fragrant wood. It is called "Chujyōmu" because the characters are smaller than those of "Oojyōmu," but like the general Tenpyo sutra, it has 17 characters per line. This fragment is the end of a volume, and the handwriting shows superior quality compared to similar fragments. The third volume of the Jujukyo Sutra (Chujyōmu), housed at the Fujita Museum of Art in Osaka, has been designated an Important Cultural Property.
